Hearts to Hands Ministry

About us
A quick rundown
Hearts to Hands ministry is a faith-based ministry program in Chattanooga that relies on the church, community, generous donors, and individual volunteers in order to feed our homeless population. Every Monday we cook hot or cold meals and drive it to various homeless camps that we have found. We are constantly finding new camps to deliver to. Each week is different because of the constant and ever-changing movement patterns of the homeless population. They are consistently being told that they have to move or are being pushed out of camps as they are being found. The amount of meals we are able to personally hand-deliver vary by each week but mostly will vary from between 50-80 meals. We do our best to also deliver hot coffee and soda to them when available.

There are also a few times a year where we hold lunch/dinner at a communal spot and are able to pass out multiple meals and other assorted items to those in need.

We also give out certain items that the homeless population may need. These items vary by season but we are consistently taking donations. Some items include but are not limited to clothes, blankets, gloves, beanies, camping supplies, shoes, cat and dog food, hygiene products, propane/ butane, mild antiseptic sprays, etc.. We hand out food, water, and drinks and also offer prayer to the people we see. Each individual is welcome to accept or decline the prayer.

It is almost impossible to fix the homeless problem and we realize that. Our goal is not to end the homelessness but to make just one day a little bit easier than the last.
Proverbs 19:17 : "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done".
